The definition of a successful day radically changes when you have a newborn, especially if you had an active work life before. You might have difficulty calling it a successful day when, apart from “just” breastfeeding or bottle feeding (around the clock!), you managed not only to wash but also to hang the laundry. A newborn needs all your attention, and it’s important to hold her in your arms as much as possible in the first three months. You will slowly but surely get into a rhythm and achieve more. For now, allow yourself to do less. And be happy with it.
